I have a question that is probably going to sound very weird. If I could just get an answer without anyone telling me how crazy it is, that would be awesome. Is it possible for me to match my teeth to my eyeballs with teeth whitening?
Priscilla
Dear Priscilla,
Actually, I think your question is fascinating. People come up with the most creative things. There are a few factors in this. How white your eyeballs are would be an obvious one. At some point, there is a limit to the amount of teeth whitening you can get. If you are trying to match your teeth to your specific color, then I would suggest porcelain veneers. They are more customizable and the results of bleaching can be a bit unpredictable.
You can also do a combination depending on how many teeth you can afford to have veneers placed on. Most smiles are wide and if you can only get six teeth veneered, then you will still want the adjacent teeth to match. If you whiten your teeth as much as you can then get the porcelain veneers your teeth will blend naturally.
My suggestion is to see a cosmetic dentist and tell them your goals.
